Common Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

I’ve been very lucky over the past 15 years or so, in that I’ve been able to travel around the world to see and photograph incredible creatures in wonderful locations. So, it can be easy sometimes to take for granted the ‘common’ birds found where your home is. The Common Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) would certainly be considered a common bird by most Europeans, but just look at those beautiful, subtle green and brown colours! If this were a rare bird, it would be highly prized indeed!
