Fiery-billed Araçari (Pteroglossus frantzii)

Araçaris (don’t forget the cedilla under the letter c!) are members of the toucan bird family. The Fiery-billed Araçari (Pteroglossus frantzii) is only found on the Pacific slope of Costa Rica and neighbouring Panama. I encountered a group of these great birds whilst staying at the Bosque del Rio Tigre lodge in southern Costa Rica.
