Pauraque (Nyctidromus albicollis)

This is a photo of a day-roosting (Common) Pauraque (Nyctidromus albicollis) which I took in Southern Texas a few years ago. I find it amazing that, even though this is a close-up photo and the bird almost fills the frame, it’s still really well camouflaged!
